We took a family trip to Ireland in June/July 2006. This was the first time that
all 5 of us went along, since the previous time there were only 3 of us.
The kids got to meet their cousins for the first time, including the 2 from Spain
who were also visiting at the same time.
We stayed mostly in Dublin and Portrane, with day trips into the countryside and
up to Belfast, Northern Ireland. We visited Trinity College and saw the ancient
Book of Kells, and up to the harbor area of Belfast to a fantastic kid's hands-on
museum called
W5. Across the water from W5 is the
very shipyard
in which the famous
Titanic
(and her sister ships Britannic and Olypmic) was built around 1910-1912.
